Dana Jeremy Lukin, MD, PhD

Dr Lukin is a board-certified gastroenterologist practicing in New York City. He received his medical training at Icahn School of Medicine of Mount Sinai, where he completed residency in internal medicine, and then completed a gastroenterology fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center. Dr Lukin has clinical expertise in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. He is on faculty at Weill Cornell Medical College as associate professor of clinical medicine, where he participates in clinical and didactic teaching and research projects. Dr Lukin clinically focuses on the management of medically complex patients with IBD with a focus on proactive and personalized approaches to care. His research has focused on real-world experience with advanced IBD therapies, the role of diet in IBD management, and translational approaches in understanding IBD pathophysiology. Dr Lukin has published widely and delivered lectures nationally and internationally on these topics. He is a member of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation National Scientific Advisory Committee and national committees in the American College of Gastroenterology. Dr Lukin has received research funding from Litwin IBD Pioneers, the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, and industry for the study of IBD, and is involved in the design and implementation of numerous clinical trials. He serves on the editorial board of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases and Gastroenterology & Endoscopy News.
Randy S. Longman, MD, PhD

Dr Longman is a board-certified gastroenterologist and researcher at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City, focused on the care of patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). He received his medical training at Weill Cornell Medical College and his PhD in immunology from The Rockefeller University. Dr Longman completed clinical training in internal medicine and gastroenterology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He is an international thought leader in IBD research that has defined new cellular and molecular mechanisms driving the pathogenesis of mucosal and systemic inflammation in IBD. He has developed a particular expertise in extraintestinal manifestations associated with IBD. Dr Longman has received research funding from many foundations, including the National Institutes of Health, Kenneth Rainin Foundation, and the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. In recognition of his research, he received the Irma T. Hirschl Career Scientist Award and was elected as a member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation. Dr Longman is the program director of the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases–funded T32 program at Weill Cornell Medicine and the associate director of the Tri-Institutional MD-PhD program. He serves as an associate editor at Journal of Crohn's and Colitis and is a member of the National Scientific Advisory Committee for the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation.
